As to arrive on Lençóis Maranhenses.

It possesss an area 155,000 hectares and 70 km of beach. It is located in the state of the Maranhão, having enclosed the cities of Barreirinhas, Humberto De Campos and Primeira Cruz.

The access is carried through by road for BR 135, by sea, entering in the canal of the River Preguiças in Atins and, by Fluvial tract, from Barreirinhas, through the River Preguiças.

By road, leaving São Luis, the capital of the State, it covered 58 Km until Rosário, nd from there more 22 km until Morros and 162 Km until Barreirinhas, crossing itself the clover for Humberto de Campos.

By fluvial tract, it came into through the same River Preguiças, from Barreirinhas, where if it can arrive until Atins, in which administrative headquarters exist.

The headquarters of the Park are the 2 km of Barreirinhas, on the other side of the River Preguiças, where it crosses of raft. There are strolls from Barreirinhast, using appropriate vehicles, by means of which it arrives until Dunes and water Lagoons candy.

There are three alternatives to arrive, breaking of S. Luís – MA:
   
By car or freightedvehicle: Leaving São Luís, the capital of Maranhão, it coverd during 3 hours on new highway theTranslitorânea - MA402, until a uma cidade do interior do Maranhão, called Barreirinhas (the main portão de entrada of the park).

By bus: Buses leave daily of the Road Terminal of São Luís. The duration of the passage is, in average, 4 hours.

By airplane bi or single-engine aeroplane: There is also an option the aerial taxi from São Luís. The duration of the passage is, in average, 50 minutes. The advantage of this way of transport is to be able to appreciate the gorgeous aerial landscapes of Lençóis.
