   All mornings, there are some traction 4x4 cars full of tourist leaving to visit the Lagoons Blue and Pretty. It is opted to using the transport with cowling or without.

   To arrive at the National Park, it's necessary to cross the river Preguiças. The car will go to cross the river in a primitive raft, that is moved by the force human being, or moved the engine.

   After, the car covers a track of land, sand and streams, true adventure, during more or less 1 hour. Arriving at the place, you will have to go aout of the traction car and the remain you will have to take by foot. There is a high dune to go up. In the top, you will be rewarded: you will arrive in the heaven.

   The sensation is that you die and arrived at the paradise. With names of the lagoons you can imagine the beauty: Blue lagoon (do you remember the film?) and Pretty Lagoon, with blue and green waters. To visit both, it is better take two trips, so two distinct days, therefore is very tiring to make in only one day.

   They are dunes to lose of sight, the scene is dominated by dunes and sweet water lagoons. The great sand formations reach up to 40 meters height and are generated by the action of the winds that blow constantly of the sea. The continent advance into arrives the 50 km and is extended for about 70 km desert beach.

   You will find beautiful images, excellent scenes and a fresh water when comparing with the highest temperature of the environment. We recommend to use protective solar. Bring snacks and a photographic machine, therefore you will want to get those images forever.

   There is also a trip on Preguiça's river. You can rent motor boats, in the city of Barreirinhas, to take a walk on the river and to visit the beach of Caburé. At the beach, there are diverse inns and restaurants, delicious regional foods.

   Another choose: go down the River Preguiças, that borders the Parque dos Lençóis, until discharging in the Atlantic Ocean. The trip can be boat freighted or in speed boats. In the passage, the stops are obligator to enjoy everything what the place can offer: dunes, lagoons and landscapes to take off the breath. Great attractions of the passage are the communities of Atins and Mandacaru, with prominence, in this last one, for the lighthouse, where you have a extraordinary vision of the Park.

   Never go to the Nation Park (to lagoons and Caburé's beach) without a guide man. As everything is rustic and seemed, it's dangerous to walk alone. The guide men follow the trips of motor boat and traction car.

   The nature's preservation is very important. The Nation Maranhnese's Park is protected by IBAMA (a brazilian public organization). The tourist must go to the Park conscientious of the prohibition to leave garbage on Lençóis. The awareness is important because if nobody preserve, the natural beauty won't exist anymore.

Caburé - A wonderful shelter where the visitor can take sea bath and take off the salt of the body in swwety water. There are ills and good food.

Mandacaru - Fishing village where the biggest attraction is a lighthouse of 54 meters of height. In this place, you can take a beautiful appearance of the park.

Nation Park of Lençóis Maranhenses - 155 thousand hectares of pure nature, in a script that gives a chance to see unforgetble sun putting, to see the flora and fauna characteristic of the region, beyond great vastness of dunes, lagoons, banns of sea.

Beaches - Barra do Tatu, Moitas, Morro do Boi, Ponta do Mangue e Vassouras are some of the most beautiful beaches at Barreirinhas. To visit, you can arrive by boat leaving Barreirinhas.
